Singapore is a small city but there are plenty of interesting places here where you can hold your next team building activity!
As we discussed in the previous post, are some of the fun team building activities you can have at Kallang River.
Need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and truly escape the fast paced life here? But you do not have the budget nor the time to plan for an overseas team building program? Pulau Ubin is your next best bet! As one of the only remaining kampongs in Singapore, it allows you to immerse yourselves truly in nature while having fun and getting to know your colleagues better. It is only a bumboat ride away from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. You could opt to either cycle, simply trek or even choose to explore in a kayak!
If exploring the entire island seems like too much of an adventure, you can also book guided tours and learn about the history and heritage of the place.
Whichever you choose, it will be a great bonding experience as you are surrounded by nature. If you are lucky, you might even spot some wild boars and plenty of monkeys!
Dairy farm is another place you can find yourselves surrounded by nature. There is a quarry which can be an excellent backdrop for your team pictures. Other than that, there is an outdoor climbing structure where rock climbing enthusiasts can have the time of their lives. For beginners to rock climbing, it is easy to accommodate to them, just get a team building company to organise a session so that they are the ones bearing the hassle of arranging for the climbing gear and certified belayers.
Have you seen those hamsters running in their little balls? They seem to have the time of their lives. Now you can find out what the hype is all about. But better. At ZOVB, you can get your whole team to run in giant plastic balls on water! You can rent their balls to use on swimming pools, inflatable pools or even soft grass and carpets.
Walking the Southern Ridges is another excellent way to burn some calories while you get to bond with your colleagues. What’s more, its absolutely free! Make sure you have someone on the team who is able to navigate and lead you through the trail. It will take you through Henderson Waves, Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve. It is in total 10km of just walking and talking. What better way to connect than through communication as you navigate yourselves amongst nature and gorgeous structures? (There are a couple of different trails to choose from with different starting and end points, and they will lead you through different parks and might end up being shorter than 10km.)
Little India Heritage Trail
If a little bit of a cultural and historical education is what you are after while bonding your colleagues, try this heritage trail. The precinct actually contains a great diversity of religious places which span across all the major ethnic and religious groups in Singapore. The trail provides insights into different places of worship, architecture and practices.
Do the outdoorsy events in this list not appeal to you? Well you can have an art jamming session with your colleagues. It is a great creative outlet and a fun way to express yourselves and who knows, the next Picasso of your office might just be discovered!
Never be undecided again on where to bring your corporate team to.
